Cole Scrogham
CEO/Founder
Founder of Madison Automotive Apprentices, dedicated to educating and preparing future automotive enthusiasts and advocates. 4-time overall, national Concours winner and Restoration specialist with the Porsche brand. 8-time Champion team owner in Motorsport competition and wins at all major tracks in North America. Master’s Degree in Public Administration from James Madison University.
Interns

Jack Gavin (’23)
Automotive Intern
Jack is a junior Engineering major with minors in math and physics. He has been fiddling with cars since before he was old enough to fall in love with driving them. Jack’s interest in cars sprouted from wrenching on his first car, a Mazda Miata. Outside of school and work, Jack is an avid mountain biker and enjoys anything involving the outdoors. An E30 M3 his dream car, and after graduation, he aspires to be an automotive engineer.
Jace Taylor (’24)
Automotive Intern
Jace is a rising junior engineering student at JMU. Throughout the past year and a half, he’s been building a project car, a turbocharged Miata, and has found a deep interest for learning anything and everything automotive related, specifically in engine tuning. He hopes to pursue a career in the field of automotive engineering at an OEM.

Marketing Intern
Luke is a sophomore marketing major at JMU. He has always had a passion for cars and photography. He loves going to car shows and meeting new people who share the same interests as him. He hopes to pursue a career in marketing within the automotive industry after graduation. His dream car is a V10 Audi R8.

Kevin Borg
Board of Directors
Professor of History, faculty advisor to Madison Motorsports student organization, Coordinator Science, Technology & Society minor. Teaching & research areas include: history of American automobile cultures, social history of American technology and public history.
Bill Wyatt
Board of Directors
Director of Communications and University Spokesperson for James Madison University as well as a graduate of the JMU Masters of Public Administration. He is an avid NASCAR fan and lives in Harrisonburg with his wife and 6 children.


William Ritchie
Professor, Business Management
JMU Business Professor and motorsport enthusiast. He comes into MAAP every week to work on his engine, and has hosted multiple COB field-trips to MAAP for a supply-chain class. William (Bill) is now a MAAP Board Member.
Teresa Hanger
Clingman and Hanger
Teresa is an active board member at MAAP, specializing in event management. She contributes to MAAP productions and executes decisions to further MAAP’s mission.


Danny Marshall
VA House of Delegates
Represents the 14th House District (includes Danville, parts of Pittsylvania County and parts of Henry Country) in Virginia House of Delegates since 2002. Former President of Marshall Concrete Products of Danville and Synergy Racing President. Danville City Council 2000 – 2001.
