Madison Automotive showed off two cars on the lawn this year for Amelia Island Concours de Elegance. We brought a Ruf Turbo R Cabriolet and a custom-made aluminum 356 Speedster.
The Speedster was very eye-catching to the public. The body was made by Carolina Coach Crafters. MAAP interns finished the installation of the four-cam engine, suspension, brakes, electrical system, and trim items.
One of our engineering interns, Josh Holland had an amazing opportunity to take the Ruf onto the lawn for our client. One of the things that makes Madison Automotive so unique is the experiences like this that we can provide.
We also had the opportunity to meet many icons in the automotive industry including Peter Brock and Estonia Ruf. Peter Brock is known for working with Shelby to design the Shelby Daytona. He also designed the C2 Corvette and many other cars. Our engineering intern, Jake Mennes said, “My favorite part was making a ton of connections with people who have been in the automotive industry for such a long time.” Amelia Island is such a great place to get connected with like-minded car enthusiasts from across the globe. We can’t wait for next year!
